Realtors in Duck, N.C., says that last year only 5% of the company's 685 rental properties had Internet access; this year the figure jumped to 40% and inlcudes mostly WiFi equipped homes."

On this year's vacation it's hard to ignore the stories from home

Despite prospects of an 82-and-sunny day, the gentle sounds of birds floating across the pool and a beach about 25 feet from my seat in my favorite south Florida lanai, I have to feel a little bit glum.
